The Dream Automotive Replacement CAT pipe for the Civic FK2 is made from lightweight T304 stainless steel for longer life and to give the owner a higher flow rate with reduced back pressure to release the engine's full capabilities. 

The de-cat pipe incorporates a tangential bend turbo outlet ensuring a perfect transition through its 3.5" bend tapered down to a 3" exhaust outlet. Hand-made to the highest UK Motorsport standards, TIG welded, using water cut machined flanges we can promise an OEM fitment.

Heat management

We can offer two types of heat management,

Zircotec ceramic coating offers 30% heat reduction, It is in effect “welded” to the substrate using our proprietary metal bond system; eliminating the need for exhaust wrap; protecting components against corrosion, and continuing to perform and look good. Zircotec coating can withstand temps of up to 900°C

In order to be able to meet the Euro-6 emissions standard for the K20 turbo engines, HJS have developed a downpipe with sports cats.

The focus was on lowering the exhaust back pressure directly after the turbocharger as well as reducing the exhaust gas temperatures using a flow-optimised component.

Flow-optimised cast stainless steel is used for the inlet flange. The downpipe uses a 200 cell primary catalyst from a previous development for McLaren, which is supported by a short 300 cell secondary catalyst.

With this, HJS were able to significantly improve the exhaust gas flow while at the same time complying with the exhaust gas limit values. Comparative measurements on the Flowbench have shown that the mass flow has increased by around 27%

Your original catalytic converter will typically have 400 or 600 cells per square inch (cpsi), these original cats are restrictive in their flow, typically allowing an open area of around 55-65%.

A Milltek Sport Hi-flow Sports Cat which will be fully integrated into a large bore downpipe, has only 100-200 cpsi depending on application. These cats have an open area of between 75-85%, thus reducing back pressure substantially and increasing flow rates, all very desirable for extracting more performance, especially on turbocharged engines. Emission levels are maintained at legal limits by careful selection of the volume of the metallic substrate. Lambda probe positions remain unchanged from the original equipment.

Turbocharged engines need to be able to breathe; to assist this a range of turbo downpipes have been developed to suit high powered turbo applications. To enable an increase in performance we match pipe diameters for the peak performance gains.

Milltek’s technicians have completed their redesign of the OEM exhaust system, doing away with the various pipe sizes and "pinch points" to create a much smoother and better flowing design. Milltek's development vehicle has been thoroughly tested on the road, race track and dyno to ensure it meets the brand ethos - performance without compromise. 

The system comes in three different configurations to suit a wide range of intended uses: EC-Approved (a requirement for sale in some countries around the World), Road+ and Race.

Road+ and Race systems are visually identical: the main difference between them is a different internal design in the rear silencer assembly. The Race rear silencer offers reduced silencing for a louder sound than the Road+ silencer.

There are four different Tip options available, Polished, Cerakote Black and Titanium & Burnt Titanium.

As with all Milltek systems, quality is the watchword throughout. Aerospace-grade, non-magnetic stainless steel is used for the entire system (including clamps), with hand-finished welds and precision jigged construction. The result is an exhaust that fits as per OEM, but with a longevity and soundtrack that are anything but.

Our range of sports exhausts for the FK2 Honda Civic Type R with the 2.0L turbocharged VTEC engine has been developed with 3" (76.2mm) pipework in order to gain the best results for both increases in power whilst creating an improved more vibrant sound. The final performance exhaust systems for the FK2 Honda Civic Type R are available as a cat back exhaust system with options for a resonated or louder non-resonated centre section. The bore size of the stainless steel pipework has been increased to 3” (76.3mm) to significantly increase the flow rate and produce a deeper, more vibrant sound. Rolling road testing of the completed resonated cat-back system revealed a +6.2 bhp increase along with an impressive +26.7 lb-ft of torque taking the FK2 Honda Civic Type R to the next level. For the ultimate FK2 upgrade we have developed sports cat and de-cat front sections to complete the full turbo back exhaust upgrade.

The new FK2 Honda Civic Type R cat-back exhaust systems are available with an option for either a resonated or non-resonated centre section. The new systems improve and deepen the exhaust tone whilst staying within a similar decibel range for comfort within the cabin. For those looking for the ultimate upgrade for the new Honda Civic Type R we have developed sports cat and de-cat front sections to enable us to offer a full turbo back exhaust system taking the Type R to the next level in terms of both sound and possible power output.

Cobra Sport were keen to improve on the standard soundtrack. Although Honda's new super-hatch is a real monster from the factory with It's 2.0 Turbocharged Vtec engine pushing the car to 60 in 5.5 seconds and putting 291bhp through the front wheels scorpion technicians still saw scope for further improvement.

Scorpion's R&D technicians developed a high flowing T304 63.5mm Stainless Steel cat-back exhaust system which has much greater flow rates in comparison with the o.e exhaust. The cat-back system is available in a resonated form to ensure drone free driving throughout the high rev range and has the option of black ceramic coated or mirror polished 100mm Daytona tailpipes.

For even greater power enhancement the R&D team also developed a high flowing 70mm turbo downpipe which is fully interchangeable with the Scorpion and o.e system. Both 200 cell sports catalyst and an extremely high flowing de-cat version of the downpipe are available.
